As the summer nears bands are coming out of hibernation, brushing up on old sets, and debuting new ones. The competition season is certainly upon us!
In just a few weeks, my band (Wasatch and District Pipe Band) will be in Las Vegas, Nevada for its first outdoor contest. Just a few days ago, my old band (Triumph Street Pipe Band) competed against SFU Pipe Band at the BC Pipers Annual Gathering, taking straight 2nd's against the current world champions.
I'd like to take this moment to wish the best of luck to all bands in the upcoming season! (Updates about the contest in Las Vegas will be made shortly.)
