Biography

I've been playing the bagpipes for so long some think I have no other interests outside of bagpiping...not true. I used to be very active within sports; I played baseball, basketball, wrestled, mountain biked, cycled, played competitive soccer for years and even had a short-- very short-- stint with the University of Utah Rugby team.

But besides all of the above I currently am involved a great deal within the local piping community, and more recently nationally and internationally. When I'm not piping, however, I'm usually reading, involved with some other sort of music activity, working on something school related or just enjoying myself and life in any way possible. I am pursuing a degree in Comparative Literature and German at the University of Utah. I'm interested in the way musical, literary and other other facets of culture are manifest and assimilated with concepts of society, identity, and consciousness.
